Q1. "What does quoted fare include? "
A1a. Prices are single/each way journeys. Price is per vehicle, not per person. This can work our extremely cheap, especially if you have more than one passenger in your party. All our prices are inclusive fares - see further explanation below...
Waiting time explaination: If your journey is an Airport Pickup or Transfer, then the price includes 40mins waiting from actual landing time and car park fee. (This is standard time to come from plane to arrivals). If you are delayed at immigration for longer than an hour, your driver may ask for extra waiting and/or car park fee. Current waiting time is charged at £6 per 30mins extra. We rarely have to charge extra and there is no stop watch counting down. We have this fee to stop clients hanging around at the airport, getting coffee and lunch etc. before contacting our drivers. If you want to have longer to meet your driver you can arrange a different meeting time in advance.

Q2. "What type of vehicles do you use and are they air conditioned?"
A2. We use standard (or better) family Saloon cars (Sedan) and Estate(Station Wagons) cars and 5 or 6 seater Minivans/MPV's. Most vehicles have air-conditioning, not all, but this is rarely necessary in UK.
All are clean and all are licensed, tested and registered by the Public Carriage Office.

Q3." At the airport, where will we meet our driver?"
A3. He will be standing by the Information Desk in the Arrivals Hall with an sign with your family name on it. We provide an emergency telephone number should you fail to spot him. We have a 100% reliability record on our drivers being at the airport!

Q4. "At the Airport, how will your driver know when to meet us? "
A4. Our driver arrives at the airport as you actually land, (we include 30-40mins waiting from landing in our price). We check incoming flights and will know if you are delayed.

Q5. "What kind of service do you offer? Why are your prices are cheaper than most!"
A5. We offer a 'No-frills, budget Airport & Cruiseport Transfer Service'. No Suits and Hats, no ultra shinning cars, no muscle bound drivers (Not many anyhow!). We provide friendly licensed drivers, with a clean licensed fleet of vehicles. We aim to fill the gap in the market between Cheap Minicab companies pretending to be Airport Transfer Specialists and Expensive Chauffeur Drive Companies. LondonAirConnections was created for Airport Transfers and Cruiseport Transfers, we offer nothing else except Photo Tours whilst between Airport, Hotel or Cruiseport Transfer.

Q6. Is price quoted above the price I'll pay or are there hidden extras?
A6. Once you have booked with us your fare is guaranteed** although tips are not included. Normally 10-15% of fare.(Not obligatory)

Q7. "Why don't you accept credit-cards online?"
A7a. We do accept credit cards, but we use a ring-back system, for added security. This allows us to have a human check your booking available and all correct and have someone speak to our clients before taking their money. You can request payment by credit card on the booking form, and by entering your time zone in the world, our operators will ring you for you details during the next day. (We do charge a booking fee for credit cards bookings)
A7b. Many Private Hire Vehicle Operators and Taxis firms in the UK work on a cash basis, as do many coach operators. To stay competitive we need to keep our prices low. The cost of securing our booking form as you enter information, and then transmission of this as it is passed between our site and our office would be massive. Although we could have used Paypal or other such online card acceptance scheme, this is not 100% secure once passed on to the server. And we would want to be 100% secure before we attempted to transmit your credit card details.

Q8. "Can we still use your 'Trust Policy'?" or "Can we pay cash to the driver?"
A8. We are a family run business with family values - our 'trust policy' works and is part of our values. You trust us and we trust you! Having said that we know that credit card bookings are of value to some of our clients and we are accepting them now on a volunteer basis.

Q9. "Can I change money at the airport I'm landing at?"
A9. ATM's and Travelex Exchanges are available at all airports Arrivals. WARNING: Check your credit card exchange rate - it may be better using an ATM than changing your Cash to UK currency! ATM's are widely available throughout London.

Q10. What currency do you accept?
A11. We work with the £pound Sterling in the UK. We are only obligated to accept this. We do accept, as an additional service, Euro and $dollars(US) . There is an extra £5 bank charge, exchange rate as current on journey date and a 1.5% handling charge for this service and we recommend that you use an ATM as this probably gives a better exchange rate. Terms of accepting US Dollars and EU Euro


Q11. Why do you offer a discount for online booking, when you show a telephone number on the your contacts page.
A11. Simply costs. We offer an online discount because this system is faster and takes less human input - saving us (and you) money!

Q12 .Can I ring you and book a journey?
A12. Yes you can just ring and book, in office hours. But we have only limited staff to answer telephones, and sometimes this means you cannot get through. It's faster and easier to book online. Go make a cup of tea, bring it to the computer and take your time filling in the form - it takes about 15minutes and saves you money!
